Big Lottery Celebrate Event: Creative Hands Foundation

West African people in the diaspora
School children took part in a series of art activities learning about the history of the Yoruba, Hausa and Ibo people from Nigeria. This was followed by African story-telling workshop, African drumming workshop, Paper figurine art workshop and a Film show on Cross Cultural Textiles.
The creative team of CHF supported by school teachers, enabled the children to learn about the West African culture and traditions, providing moral lessons to help the young people make better choices and actions in lives.
Arts works produced by pupils of local schools will be exhibited alongside wax printed textiles from ABC wax prints, a book and film documentary on Cross Cultural textiles will be on display. Other highlights of the exhibition and celebratory event will include short-talk, cultural performances/ displays, awards, music and food.
